AusIMM are proud to be partnering with the Government of South Australia to foster a diverse and productive critical minerals sector in the state. We are especially pleased to be working with the South Australian Department of Mines and Energy to support their Thinking Critical South Australia initiative.

Together with the South Australian Government, we are working to expand the state’s critical minerals processing and manufacturing by attracting the best, most innovative professionals and companies from across the globe and support them to set up operations in South Australia.

Entries open for the Thinking Critical South Australia Challenge

Our partnership includes support for the Thinking Critical South Australia Challenge, which is a global online crowdsourcing challenge from the Government of South Australia aimed at fostering the growth and development of a world class, leading, critical minerals sector.

The challenge is open to any individuals and businesses, across the world, inside or outside the mining industry, who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • are a registered, non-government business or non-for-profit organisation;
  • currently or will be involved in the critical minerals value chain; and
  • willing to register operations for your business in South Australia.

Individuals, companies, universities and research centres are eligible to participate.

Companies throughout the value chain are encouraged to enter with Thinking Critical South Australia focussing this year on proposals specifically involved in processing and manufacturing.

This is the occasion for anyone working in the critical minerals sector to become a part of this burgeoning industry and contribute to South Australia’s growth and development.

If you are involved in the processing or manufacturing of critical minerals, this is your opportunity to become part of a dynamic and evolving ecosystem, and contribute to South Australia’s growth from the ground up.

Whether you're from inside or outside the mining sector, Australian or international, a start-up, mature business or university, AusIMM and the South Australian Government want to hear your ideas and proposals for growing and enriching our critical minerals sector.
