The AusIMM expects and promotes the highest professional and ethical standards of its members across all areas of professional practice through a strong focus on professional ethics and best practice implementation of professional codes.

AusIMM members have a collective obligation to ensure that the AusIMM Code of Ethics is observed by all members in order to retain and build on the trust and positive reputation we have as industry professionals. While members are bound by the AusIMM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct Regulations, there are occasions when matters of alleged non-compliance are referred to the AusIMM, and our Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) is responsible for reviewing such matters in the first instance.

The committee has some vacancies following the retirement of some  members, after significant service. AusIMM Fellows are invited to consider joining the PCC. While the work of the Committee can be challenging, it is also immensely rewarding as it provides an opportunity to engage in AusIMM’s work in upholding the best of professional standards and ethics. There are a number of set meeting dates for 2021 with additional dates added as required. Please refer to the 2021 Professional Conduct Regulations

The AusIMM is counting on your support. If you believe you have the background and available time to give to this essential AusIMM Committee please send your expression of interest to AusIMM Compliance compliance@ausimm.com.au by COB Friday 16 July 2021.
