Consulting Practice webinars

The six webinars cover three topics each, covering all 18 topics in the Handbook.

The first webinar dealt with the broad issues for establishing and managing consulting practices and businesses, in particular with reference to the specific issues in the mining sector, and current practices, trends and challenges of consulting generally across the mining sector. The topics and presenters were: Chapter 1 The Prospective Consultant – Murray Lines, Director, Stratum Resources; Chapter 2 Mode of Practice – Andy Markham, Director, Hydrobiology; Chapter 3 The Minerals Consultancy – John Dunlop, Director, John S Dunlop & Associates Pty. Ltd.

The second webinar dealt with the broad issues for business operations, including issues relating to business planning, financial matters and risk management. Each presenter focused on specific issues in the mining sector and current practices, trends and challenges of consulting generally across the mining sector.  The topics and presenters were: Chapter 4 Business Planning – Andrew Job (FAusIMM, CEO and Founder of Plotlogic, B.Eng. Master Finance); Chapter 5 Financial Matters – Tom Kendall (FAusIMM, Executive Engineer Mintrex Pty Ltd); Chapter 6 Risk Management – Colin Roberts FAusIMM.
