· 300 words, 3 minute read

Did you know that presenting at an AusIMM conference provides opportunities to raise your professional profile in the industry?

Contributing to your field brings awareness to researchers, policy makers and the public of the innovative developments in progress and allows you to collaborate with other authors, practitioners and specialists to advance the future of the resources industry.

You can also claim up to 50 PD hours for preparing and presenting a technical paper, have your paper published in the conference proceedings and enhance your exposure as an expert in your field.

We are currently calling for papers for the following 2021 conferences:

  • Open Pit Operators
  • AusRock (Ground Control in Mining)
  • Iron Ore
  • International Future Mining (submissions portal opening soon!)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I won’t make the submission deadline. Can I have an extension?

We only require an abstract by the submission deadline, which is between 250-300 words. If you are interested in submitting an abstract for a conference but need more time, please contact our conference team to discuss options available at conference@ausimm.com.

I don’t think I can deliver my presentation in-person due to border restrictions. Can I still present?

Yes! If you can attend in-person, we highly recommend delivering your presentation onsite to experience all the exciting face-to-face conference highlights. However, should border restrictions still be in place at the time of the conference, you can present virtually through our online platform. We are happy to assist you with setting up your digital presentation and will be available for any technical support prior to and throughout the conference.

What can I present?

We welcome submissions from academia and industry covering research on novel approaches and progress, applications from real-world case studies, and new technologies*. Collaborative submissions from multiple authors are encouraged.

*Subject to the selection criteria for each conference. Guides for authors can be accessed via the conference websites.
