Darryn Quayle, FloM3
Vice President, Business Development, Worley
Darryn is a mining engineer with over three decades of international experience across the Commonwealth and the Americas, trained in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Before joining Worley, he served as the UK government's Mining Engineer for eight years, where he spearheaded the UK's Critical Minerals Strategy and contributed to negotiating the UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement, work that placed critical minerals supply chains at the centre of the bilateral relationship. He also played a role in setting the lithium price on the London Metal Exchange, working closely with Argentina, Bolivia and Chile, and served as an expert witness in several Foreign Office interventions.
At Worley, Darryn established the Mining and Metals division in Europe and co-founded the company's battery materials business, scaling it into a significant global operation with international reach across multiple markets. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and a director of the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce, where he continues to work on strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries. Having helped shape UK critical minerals policy and now leading its commercial delivery at Worley, Darryn brings a firsthand view of what it takes to turn policy alignment into financed, operating projects.
