Georgie Bezette

Chief People Officer, Rio Tinto

Georgie Bezette was appointed Chief People Officer of Rio Tinto in January 2025 and is a member of the Group Executive Committee.

She leads Rio Tinto's global People function and is responsible for the company's people strategy, leadership and culture agenda, workforce capability, talent and organisational effectiveness. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Executive Committee, she helps ensure Rio Tinto has the leadership, skills and workforce required to deliver long-term business performance, growth and value creation across its global operations.

Georgie brings 30 years of international leadership experience spanning human resources, large-scale transformation, organisational strategy and business leadership. Since joining Rio Tinto in 2008, she has held a range of senior executive roles across multiple portfolios within the Group, with accountability for enterprise-wide transformation programs, workforce and capability strategies, cultural change initiatives, operating model redesign, digital and technology-enabled transformation, and organisational performance improvement across operations and projects.

Before joining Rio Tinto, Georgie held consulting and transformation positions across professional services, financial services, fine arts and the public sector. She is a member of the IMD Foundation Board, and has served on several Rio Tinto-related boards, bringing valuable governance, stakeholder and sustainable development experience.
