Stefan Kwiatkowski leads Rio Tinto’s Energy & Climate team, providing oversight and strategic direction for the company’s action on climate, across its global assets, spanning the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australasia. Initially qualifying in the UK as a Chartered Accountant, Stefan joined Rio Tinto’s Western Australia iron ore business in 2011, and has since worked across the company in investment evaluation, M&A, corporate strategy and energy development before taking on his current role. As a recent Australian citizen, playing an active role in catalysing investment into Australia has become a source of great personal satisfaction.
