Breaking the scale barrier: Making large-scale filtered tailings work for Australian mines
Explore the technical, operational and system-wide considerations involved in implementing filtered tailings and other dewatering solutions at scale, with a focus on water stewardship, operational resilience and long-term performance.
About this event
Filtered tailings can offer important benefits for water stewardship and long-term tailings management, but successful implementation requires more than an efficient filtration plant.
This webinar will examine how large-scale filtered tailings can be developed as an integrated operating system. The speakers will discuss the influence of changing ore characteristics, process performance and operating conditions, as well as the mine-wide infrastructure and operating practices needed to support filtration, transport and placement.
The session will also consider integration into existing operations, maintenance and reliability, environmental and social outcomes, and alignment with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the factors that can determine whether filtered tailings performs reliably at scale across the mine lifecycle.
