June Tech Talk: Development of a Rainfall TARP using automatic rainfall gauges
The Darwin Branch are pleased to present their June Tech Talk: Development of a Rainfall TARP using automatic rainfall gauges.
About this event
Guest speaker Jack Stipcevich, Senior Geotechnical Engineer, will present the Trigger Action Response Plan (TARP) management strategies used for the open‑cut operation at McArthur River Mine (MRM) during the wet season.
The presentation will outline how these strategies are applied in practice to manage wet‑season risks and maintain safe operations. Jack will also explain how automatic rainfall gauges have been integrated into response plans, enabling timely decision‑making and improved management of intense rainfall events and associated operational hazards at MRM.
This session will provide attendees with practical insights into wet‑season planning and geotechnical risk management in large‑scale open‑cut operations.
