Future Ready: Boosting Underground Connectivity for Intrinsically Safe Mines

1
PD Hours

As underground mining operations continue to embrace digital transformation, reliable connectivity that meets intrinsically safe requirements is critical in hazardous environments.

About this event

Join AusIMM and MST Global to explore how their next-generation intrinsically safe network infrastructure can support operational visibility, workforce safety, automation and long-term mining performance.

Underground mines are increasingly turning to digital technologies to enhance productivity, safety and decision-making. In hazardous environments, these capabilities depend not only on a reliable digital foundation but also meets the essential intrinsically safe requirements. This webinar will examine how intrinsically safe, mine-wide connectivity supports a range of critical applications including voice communications, personnel tracking, safety systems, telemetry, video, analytics and autonomous equipment.

Drawing on experience from underground mining environments, the session will outline a digital maturity journey that progresses from connected operations through to optimisation, visualisation and automation. Attendees will also gain insight into technologies that are helping mines move toward more intelligent and autonomous operations.
