Join the Geomechanics Society for their August Webinar:  Observational Mining and Managing Moving Pit Walls.

About this event

Managing deforming pit walls remains one of the most complex and high-risk challenges in mining. This webinar introduces a new industry Guidance Note on the Observational Mining Approach, developed to support earlier detection of slope movement, more informed risk-based decision-making, and the implementation of effective controls.

Drawing on real-world case studies and industry collaboration, the session provides practical insights to help geotechnical and mining professionals safely maximise value while managing evolving slope risks.
