About this event

The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves ('the JORC Code') is a professional code of practice that sets minimum standards for Public Reporting of minerals Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves.

The Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) initiated an update to the Code to address issues identified in the application of the Code since it was last revised.

JORC will present an update on the JORC Code Review, including the direction of changes to date. There will be an opportunity to submit questions.

The webinar will be recorded and made available on the JORC website when available.

Graham is a geologist with over 35 years' experience in exploration geology and management. He has worked in exploration (ranging from grassroots reconnaissance through to brownfields, near-mine, and resource definition), project evaluation and mining in a variety of geological terrains, commodities, and mineralisation styles within Australia and internationally. His current focus is independent technical reports (IGR, CPR, QPR, ITE) and valuations of mineral assets. Graham has worked for large companies, juniors, government and been self-employed. He has worked in consulting for the past 15 years for predominantly small companies.
Graham was a Federal Councillor/board member (including Company Secretary and Treasurer) of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists for 11 years and joined the Joint Ore Reserves Committee in 2014, stepping into the chair role in 2026.

Andrew Hall is Vice President and Head of Mine Smarter at AFRY, having previously served as Managing Director of AMC Consultants Pty Ltd prior to its acquisition by AFRY on 1 May 2026. He is a Fellow and Chartered Professional (Mining) of the AusIMM and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Mineral Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Graduate Diploma in Project Management.
With over 30 years of mining and management experience across more than 40 countries, his expertise spans strategy optimisation, business transformation, feasibility studies, and technical due diligence of underground and open pit metalliferous mining projects. He has written numerous technical papers and overseen the Public Reporting of Ore and Mineral Reserves under multiple international codes. Andrew is the Vice Chair of JORC having represented the AusIMM on the committee since 2020.

Ann Ledwidge

Ann is a qualified geologist with over 30 years' experience in mineral exploration. Ann has focused primarily on gold and base metals projects for both junior and major companies in Canada, Africa and Australia. Ann held the position of General Manager Exploration with Orbis Gold in Burkina Faso until their takeover in 2015. She led the team responsible for Orbis' Natougou discovery Natougou gold deposit, which is now the Boungou Mine, part of Endeavour Mining’s mining portfolio. Ann advanced the Nabanga and Natougou projects to the resource estimation stage and oversaw the Scoping Study initially completed for the Natougou deposit.
Most recently Ann was General Manager Exploration at Mako Gold, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company which she co-founded, until the takeover by Aurum Resources. Ann was responsible for all aspects of exploration and led the team that discovered the 868,000 ounce Napié gold deposit and the Niou deposit currently being developed by Nordgold.

Georgina Rees

Georgina is a Chartered Professional Geologist with a BSc (Hon) in Geology and Chemistry with over 19 of experience in the mining sector, primarily with Anglo American across multiple commodities, specialising in Operational Geology and Resource Modelling. She has been a member of JORC since 2024.
