Join the Metallurgical Society for their Webinar: Future of Refractory Lining Design.

About this event

The refractory lining plays a crucial role in the metallurgical industry, serving as a vital component in high-temperature processes. This webinar will explore the intersection of traditional refractory practices and emerging technologies that are reshaping the landscape of refractory solutions.

The webinar will examine a range of advanced technologies, including real-time monitoring of lining thickness using infrared cameras and laser scanning, as well as the HUVR Platform for installation databasing and refractory performance analytics.

Additionally, it will introduce the PS Converter End-Wall Package Installation, a recent patent-pending innovation, alongside the concept of 'smart refractories'—pre-cast refractory blocks embedded with sensors for enhanced monitoring capabilities. The topic of recycled refractories will also be addressed, emphasizing sustainability within the industry.

Through this discussion, our speaker, Mr Jonathon McBride, will aim to highlight how these cutting-edge technologies can be integrated with traditional materials engineering practices to enhance the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of refractory linings.

By envisioning the future of refractory design, we invite participants to engage in a dialogue about the potential impact of these innovations on the metallurgical sector.

Join us as we explore the possibilities that lie ahead in refractory technology.
