About this event
MetFest! events bring together teams of regional metallurgists, geomet, process engineers, chemists and other associated professionals for a unique week of networking and professional development, culminating in a day of technical presentations.
MetFest! celebrate over 10 years of successful events hosted across Australia with a focus on regional operating sites, having been initiated at Orange NSW and held since 2016.
MetFest! Technical Event
Returning to Bunbury for the second time following the strong success of the 2023 event, MetFest! SouthWest WA features a week of workshops covering statistics, plant trials, sampling and mine reconciliation, geometallurgy, automated mineralogy separation, and particle size control and visualisation.
On Thursday, delegates can choose from site tours, a wine and food tour, or golf before the Exhibition Program officially opens with a Welcome BBQ reception on Thursday, 27 August.
Friday's technical program will explore the practical challenges of processing operations, technical successes and lessons learned, regional project work, reliability, geometallurgical reconciliation, water and environmental management, and business improvement initiatives that enhance mineral recovery. The program will run alongside the full-day Exhibition Program, providing extensive opportunities to connect with suppliers, service providers, and industry peers.
MetFest! SouthWest WA will conclude with the Delprat Distinguished Lecture, followed by a networking dinner sponsored by Metso.

Pre-event Specialist Mining & Mineral Processing Workshops
Prior to MetFest! a range of specialist workshops delivered by external industry providers will be available, covering mineral processing, mine reconciliation, geometallurgy, automated mineralogy and operational optimisation.
