Networking and Lunch

From 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Celebrate the achievements of women in mining at AusIMM’s International Women’s Day Melbourne event

Join us for a delicious two-course lunch with drinks and enjoy the inspiring presentation from keynote speaker, Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert.

Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert has lived a reality that most would consider their worst nightmare – falsely imprisoned in an Iranian prison, placed in solitary confinement, with little to no hope of release. After serving more than two years of her sentence, Kylie was brought back to Australia in a prisoner exchange deal in November 2020. She now advocates for other unjustly detained individuals in foreign prisons and shines a light on how international governments can better handle arbitrary detention.

We look forward to celebrating and networking with attendees in Melbourne.
