A welcome from our Advisory Committee Chair

On behalf of the Conference Advisory Committee, we invite mineral resource professionals from across Australia and around the world to join us at the AusIMM Mineral Resource Estimation Conference 2027.

The Mineral Resource Estimation Conference, the first of its kind, has been recognised as the premier forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences and innovation in resource estimation and geoscience. Bringing together geologists, geostatisticians, resource modellers, mining engineers, consultants, researchers and industry leaders, the conference provides a unique opportunity to share knowledge and advance professional practice across the mining industry.

As our industry continues to evolve, resource estimation remains fundamental to informed decision making, project development and operational success. Emerging technologies, increasing data availability, advances in modelling methodologies, and a growing focus on transparency, uncertainty and communication present both opportunities and challenges for practitioners.
