Florian Michelin

Managing Director, Howden Ventsim Pty Ltd 

Florian Michelin is the Managing Director of Howden Ventsim Pty Ltd and a mechanical engineer specialising in computational fluid dynamics. He began his career as a software developer at Chasm Consulting, now part of Chart Industries, where he worked on new features and improved simulation algorithms for Ventsim DESIGN.

This experience and knowledge contributed to the development of Pumpsim DESIGN, a liquid pipe flow simulation software solution. Florian later became Product Manager for Pumpsim, while also delivering training and consulting services across both Ventsim and Pumpsim.

In his current role, Florian leads Ventsim and Pumpsim's development, sales, training, and consulting activities across the world. His experience combines software development, simulation, product management, and practical industry support for mining, tunnelling, and engineering customers.
