Peter Garvey 

Mechanical Engineer, AECOM

Peter Garvey is a Mechanical Engineer and Project Leader with more than 20 years of experience delivering materials handling and infrastructure projects across the mining industry. He has led multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, from concept studies and feasibility through detailed design, construction and commissioning, delivering practical, value-driven engineering solutions.

Peter specialises in underground mining infrastructure, with expertise in materials handling systems, mine dewatering, ventilation and critical services. He combines strong technical capability with commercial insight to deliver safe, efficient and reliable outcomes for clients.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), is completing a Master of Business Administration, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
