Rod Clarke is a senior mining technology leader with over 40 years of global experience across mining operations, OEMs, and equipment supply. As General Manager of Advanced Technology, he leads the development of next‑generation solutions that integrate advanced engineering, digital systems, and AI to transform the mining industry.

Since joining ESCO in 2011, Rod has held senior leadership roles across national accounts, product, and sales, contributing to the evolution of systems that combine cast and fabricated mining products with hydraulics, mechanical design, and advanced control systems delivering robotic‑like functionality.

He now leads Weir ESCO’s Advanced Technologies strategy, integrating traditional GET with ultra‑class fabricated assets using digital twins, FEA, embedded sensors, and AI analytics to enable data‑driven, whole‑of‑life asset management.
Rod is recognised for advancing intelligent, connected mining systems that improve safety, productivity, and asset performance.
