AusIMM is pleased to announce the extension of the abstract submission deadline for the 12th International Conference on Molten Slags, Fluxes and Salts, known as MOLTEN 2024.

Due to an overwhelming response from the global scientific community, the abstract submission deadline has been extended to the 13 November 2023, providing one last chance for researchers, experts, and industry professionals to get involved.

From 17 - 19 June 2024, in vibrant Brisbane, MOLTEN 2024 will bring together leading experts under the theme "Supporting the Transition to Sustainable Technologies."

Final Call for Abstract Submissions

We invite researchers, experts, and industry professionals to submit abstracts for presentation at this transformative event. The extended deadline offers the last opportunity to participate. Accepted abstract authors will have the chance to submit full papers, extended abstracts, or posters, all subject to a rigorous peer review process overseen by the Conference Organising Committee.

Themes for Abstracts

Abstracts should align with these key themes:

  1. Experimental Measurements: Highlighting cutting-edge experimental techniques in molten slags, fluxes and salts processing.

  2. Mathematical Descriptions: Exploring mathematical models and simulations that enhance the understanding and optimisation of high-temperature processing systems.

  3. Research: Emphasising innovative research contributing to sustainable industrial processing systems' development.

  4. Implementation of Research Outcomes by Industry: Showcasing applications of research outcomes within the industry, driving practical advancements towards sustainability.
