Partner - Sustainability Reporting and Assurance, PwC Australia

I am a Partner within our Sustainability Reporting and Assurance practice at PwC, having joined the firm as a graduate in 2010. I pride myself on my ability to help clients navigate complex issues in a timely, accessible and commercial manner. Much of my time with the firm has spent working with clients in the Energy, Utilities and Mining sector, this includes two years I was fortunate to spend on secondment in our London office working with FTSE 100 clients in the sector. I pair strong financial acumen with extensive experience providing clients with assurance on Sustainability information and supporting them with Sustainability strategy development and reporting

My experience includes;
• Assurance over Sustainability and other ESG related reporting; 
• Internal Audits (including a range of ESG related subject matter covering both operations and reporting);
• Advice on ESG reporting frameworks and materiality assessments;
• Gap and readiness assessments to report under emerging reporting frameworks
• Financial Statement Audits under both International and US Auditing Standards; 
• Process and finance function improvement and optimisation across both financial and non financial reporting;
• Accounting and structuring advice and due dilligence;

I was also the project lead for PwC’s 2019 Global Mine publication “resourcing the future”. I have supported a number of organisations in the development of ESG reporting and associated processes and controls. I have also provided assurance over a range of metrics and ESG frameworks. This includes a number of industry specific frameworks such as Towards Sustainable Mining, World Gold Council Responsible Gold Mining Principles and the ICMM Performance Expectations and Position Statements.

I've led a number of operational focussed Internal Audits across HSEC reporting, safety risk management and mine closure planning. A number of these reviews have been site based including multiple reviews in South America. I have also supported organisations in assessing their readiness for implementation of new Sustainability frameworks including the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
