Indigenous Entrepreneurship Director, Minderoo Foundation

Les is the Indigenous Entrepreneurship Director at Minderoo Foundation and Indigenous Entrepreneurship Manager within Generation One with the goal to help advance the growth of the Indigenous business sector through strategic, sector-wide projects from Indigenous entrepreneurship, investment, research and education.   

He is a Board Director of StartupWA and member of the Premier of Western Australia's Jobs Taskforce. Les is an experienced founder, board director and advisor to a number of start-ups. A proud Gumbaynggirr man and 40Under40 winner in 2020, Les built DreamSpark and Covocate, the first Indigenous startup to raise venture capital and subsequently raised capital for two ventures, having an exit in 2019, with teams in Israel, Canada and Australia. In 2017, Les was recognised and featured in the Westpac 200 Businesses of Tomorrow out of 3000 businesses in Australia.
