We are delighted to invite you to the first Brisbane event for the AusIMM New Professionals Network in 2026 — an evening designed to connect, inspire, and bring together emerging professionals across the resources sector.

About this event

We are pleased to welcome Joanne Chenery and Sarah Ross from Harmony Australasia for a joint presentation titled The Many Roads to Sustainability.

Drawing on their combined experience across mining, energy, and infrastructure, Joanne and Sarah will share insights from their career journeys and explore the diverse pathways into sustainability, ESG, and climate leadership within the resources sector. The session will reflect on evolving industry expectations, the practical realities of sustainability roles, and the importance of collaboration, communication, and adaptability in building meaningful outcomes.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for new graduates, early‑career professionals, and those new to Brisbane to connect with fellow New Professionals in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Join us for an evening of conversation, networking, and learning over canapés and beverages.

We look forward to welcoming you as we kick off an exciting year for the AusIMM New Professionals Network in Brisbane.
