Vaughan Chamberlain

CEO and Managing Director: Amira Global

Vaughan Chamberlain is the CEO of Amira Global. He has a BSc Hons Geology from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, and a MSc Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Vaughan has spent most of his career working in gold, having spent time at Tau Tona and Elandsrand as a Mine Geologist, then moving on to Gold Exploration working out of Carletonville. He then spent 6 years working for Mineral Resource Evaluation Department of AAplc (Minred) before moving to AngloGold when it was formed in 1998. At AngloGold Ashanti he moved up through the technical ranks and ended up on the Executive, acting as both CTO and CDO. He spent his final year before retirement looking after strategic planning. Post retirement he has actively run his consultancy and joined Amira Global as CEO is late 2023.
