Froydis Cameron-Johansson

Global Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES), Rio Tinto

Froydis is the Global Head of HSES for Rio Tinto. She has more than 25 years of experience in the extractives sector, with a focus on sustainability, stakeholder engagement and public policy. Before joining Rio, Froydis spent 15 years with Anglo American including as Group Head of Sustainability, International and Government Relations, overseeing areas including climate change, biodiversity and human rights, as well as leading the ESG trends analysis and integration into Group strategy. She is passionate about diversity and mentorship, and has extensive experience working with boards, executive teams, business units and functions to ensure a deeper understanding of stakeholders’ perspectives and evolving societal priorities.

Froydis is on the Board of NES Fircroft, and an advisory panel member of the Vinnova, the Swedish Governments mining innovation fund.
