Josephine Tan

Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, BHP

Josephine Tan is BHP’s Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, where she is responsible for BHP’s M&A initiatives globally. Josephine has over 20 years of experience in M&A, investments and corporate finance, largely in the natural resources sector.

Before joining BHP, Josephine held various leadership and advisory roles with junior miners and investment funds. She has also spent ten years in investment banking at UBS in London and Melbourne where she advised mid-to-large cap natural resources and heavy industrials companies. Josephine began her career as a management consultant at BCG.

Josephine is a panellist at the Critical Minerals Forum during Australian Mining Week 2025.
