Russell Brooks
Prior to joining Minerals 260, Russell held senior leadership roles across OZ Minerals and BHP. At OZ Minerals, he progressed through operational, technical, and corporate roles, including underground mining engineer and operations foreman at the Carrapateena Mine, where he was directly involved in delivering the project to full production and supporting the safe ramp up of operations. He later moved into commercial and corporate roles, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial Manager, and Head of Project Development & Strategy, contributing to portfolio planning and major project advancement, including involvement in the West Musgrave Project.
Following the acquisition of OZ Minerals by BHP, Russell took on senior project and corporate development positions, serving as Deputy Project Director and later Lead Principal Business Development, working across large scale project development and strategic growth initiatives within a global mining organisation.
Russell is known for his ability to bridge operations, technical development, and commercial thinking, bringing a practical, development minded perspective to early and growth stage projects. In his current role at Minerals 260, he provides strategic technical leadership across the portfolio, ensuring exploration and development decisions are aligned with clear pathways to value
