PD Hours

Explore how Australia's new ASRS climate reporting requirements present bothcompliance challenges and commercial opportunities for the mining sector.

About this event

As Australia becomes one of the first jurisdictions to implement mandatory climate disclosures under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), the mining sector faces a pivotal moment. This webinar, led by ERM Partners Dr Mary Stewart and Victoria Cross, will unpack the ASRS framework, its phased implementation, and how it differs from traditional sustainability reporting. Participants will gain insights into sector-specific climate risks and opportunities, readiness data from ERM, and practical strategies to overcome common compliance challenges. The session will also explore how climate reporting is influencing decisions at both corporate and asset levels, and why early action can unlock long-term business resilience and value. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to approach Year 1 disclosures and how to turn regulatory compliance into strategic advantage.
