About this event

As 2025 comes to a close,  we invite you to join us for an evening of reflection, recognition, and forward-thinking. This evening event will highlight the year’s achievements, explore opportunities for growth, and share valuable insights and feedback from the AusIMM Congress held in Brisbane.

Our guest speaker, Warwick Stewart, Managing Director, Environmental Geochemistry International, will present an engaging talk titled “From Geologist to Geochemist” offering a unique perspective drawn from his professional journey.

This event is open to both members and non-members, as we work to strengthen our local branch and foster an engaged, thriving community.

Warwick Stewart

Managing Director, Environmental Geochemistry International
Warwick brings more than three decades of expertise in geochemistry, geology, and environmental management. Joining EGi in 2000, he has pioneered and managed ARD (Acid Rock Drainage) assessment programs and prediction studies for mine sites both in Australia and globally. His work includes overseeing geochemical testing, mine material assessments, and conducting mine geochemical management audits. As the leader of EGi’s R&D and innovation program, Warwick has developed groundbreaking techniques now widely adopted for ARD assessment. He is also the author of the ARD Test Handbook, published by AMIRA, which serves as a key reference for geochemists around the world. His contributions have shaped industry practices and advanced global standards in the field.
