About this event

Join us for an engaging presentation by Thomas Hancock MAusIMM, Senior Mining Geologist and current Technical Manager at Hillgrove Mines Pty Ltd. Thomas is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of geological data across the company’s extensive tenement portfolio.

Over the past three and a half years, Thomas has played a key role in advancing Hillgrove’s discovery and development pipeline. His work has been instrumental in bringing the high-grade, narrow vein orogenic gold, antimony, and tungsten mineral field back into production—while also expanding resource areas and extending the mine’s operational life.

MAusIMM
Graduating in 2012 with a BSc Hons in Exploration & Resource Geology from the UK University of Cardiff, a varied geological career, currently spanning thirteen years, predominantly spent working across the UK and Australia, has resulted in exposure to a raft of different deposits, extraction methods and working environments.

Scott Duncombe

I am currently the Exploration Manager with Hillgrove Mines (Larvotto Resources). I have over 20 years experience as a Geologist, both in Exploration and Mining disciplines.
I have worked in Victoria, Queensland, NT, South Australia and Western Australia, including numerous and varied geological settings, comprising different commodities; primarily Gold, Copper, Antimony and Iron Ore. My work has also taken me overseas to Saudi Arabia and Mongolia, where I advanced greenfields and brownfields deposits through to production.
Moving forward I aim to increase the mineral resources at the Hillgrove Mine and to develop and advance exploration targets with the EL portfolio.
