Nano diesel particles - Still the unacknowledged chronic cause of disease in miners
Join the Perth Branch for their September tech talk: Nano diesel particles - Still the unacknowledged chronic cause of disease in miners.
About this event
Nano Diesel Particles (NDP) are ultra-fine pollutants, measuring just ~55 nanometres in diameter—thousands of times smaller than a millimetre. Pervasive and insidious, they are present in the air we breathe every day.
While European nations have recognised the health risks of NDP and have spent the last 15 years taking progressive action to reduce or eliminate their production, Australia has yet to follow suit.
Join us for this important tech talk as we explore the science behind NDP, their impact on human health and the environment, and the urgent need for action.
