MetFest! Brisbane
Join the Metallurgical Society and Southern Queensland Branch for MetFest! Brisbane in November.
About this event
MetFest has become an iconic event in regional calendars, bringing together teams of regional metallurgists, process engineers and other associated professionals for a unique day of networking and professional development.
In 2025, MetFest! makes its debut in Brisbane on the 24th of November, bringing together professionals from across the resources sector for a day of technical exchange and networking. This year’s theme, Metallurgy Across the Value Chain, aims to showcase the diverse and interconnected roles of metallurgy—from resource definition and geometallurgy through to processing and optimisation—highlighting the full spectrum of challenges and innovations shaping the industry today.
As part of this focus, early career metallurgists and mineral processors are encouraged to submit an abstract and share their work. MetFest! Brisbane provides a welcoming platform to present ideas, gain feedback, and build professional connections with peers and mentors across the industry.
The day will conclude with an evening networking function, offering a relaxed space for early career professionals, experienced metallurgists, and site-based teams to connect and maybe even collaborate!
