About this event

Join us for an exclusive technical field trip to the TOMRA Test Centre, where participants will gain firsthand insight into the latest advancements in sensor-based ore sorting and minerals processing. This visit provides a unique opportunity to see TOMRA’s industry‑leading sorting technologies in action and understand how they can drive efficiency, reduce operating costs, and unlock ore value across a wide range of commodities.

The session begins with an introduction to TOMRA’s approach to resource recovery, followed by a deep dive into the foundations of sensor-based sorting—including operating principles, key sensor technologies, and real-world applications. Attendees will then move into a detailed overview of TOMRA’s test work methodology, covering sample preparation, inspection criteria, and performance testing.

The highlight of the field trip is a guided tour of the TOMRA Test Center, where participants will observe live sorting demonstrations and explore how test results translate into operational outcomes. The visit concludes with an overview of TOMRA’s newest sorting advancements, including Insight, Contain, and Obtain, showcasing how data-driven innovation continues to shape the future of ore sorting.

Event ticket cost includes, two way shuttle transport departing from Castle Hill Metro Station before and after the event and a light lunch and refreshments.
