About this event

From the coalface to the boardroom, Nicole Brook’s career is a story of resilience and purposeful leadership. A mining engineer by trade, Nicole began her career in underground coal operations where she learned that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice - it’s about creating the conditions for others to perform at their best.

Over three decades, Nicole has worked across mining operations, led business development and technical governance at Glencore and served as Chair and President of the AusIMM. Nicole is currently a Non-Executive Director for Whitehaven and Chair of the Health, Safety, Environment and Community Committee.

In 2018, Nicole was named Exceptional Woman in NSW Mining at the NSW Minerals Council awards and was also selected for the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining. She has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Hons) from UNSW and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.

Through her story, Nicole shares how quiet leadership - grounded in purpose and influence rather than titles or volume - can shape meaningful, lasting careers in the resources sector.
