Professor Seher Ata

Seher Ata is a Professor in the School of Minerals and Energy at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and leads the Mineral Processing research group. She previously held an academic position at the University of Newcastle. Her research spans both fundamental and applied aspects of mineral processing, with a particular focus on froth flotation and the integration of renewable energy into mineral processing systems. She has led and contributed to numerous projects involving the flotation of low-grade complex ores, froth phase behaviour in industrial flotation cells, tailings reprocessing, and the influence of water chemistry on processing plant performance. Professor Ata is a Co-Editor of Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals.
