Celebrating Tamera Sharp from the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety
Tamera Sharp is an Inspector of Mines -Occupational Health and Safety with the WorkSafe Mines Safety Directorate at the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety in Western Australia. With 17 years’ experience in the mining industry, her career spans media and public relations, emergency response, safety leadership and regulatory oversight, giving her a unique perspective on the people, systems and culture that underpin safe and accountable workplaces.
Passionate about protecting people and strengthening safety culture, Tamera is committed to driving positive change through values-led leadership, collaboration and strong professional standards. She believes meaningful progress in high-risk industries is achieved when individuals and teams take shared responsibility for safety, respect and accountability. Through her work, mentorship and community involvement, she aims to inspire others to lead with integrity and contribute to a stronger safer and more inclusive industry.
