Professor David Cliff MAusIMM

Emeritus Professor of OHS in Mining, University of Queensland

David Cliff is the Emeritus Professor of OHS in Mining at the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre, UQ. He has provided education, research and consulting in health and safety to the mining industry for over 37 years, initially at SIMTARS then the QRC, he joined MISHC in 2001. He has provided expert assistance in the areas of health and safety to the mining industry around the world for over thirty five years including respirable dust, fitness for duty, emergency preparedness, and fires and explosions including investigating of more than 40 major incidents including, Moura No.2, and Pike River.
