History of the Games
The National Mining Games is an adaptation of the International Mining Games, where students from around Australia get together to compete in a range of events for the title of National Mining Games Champions! The Games are dedicated to all miners who have lost their lives in the course of duty and aim to keep traditional mining methods alive; many of which date back to the 17th century.
The goal of the Games is to build comradery and connections within and between students and industry as well as highlight the significant role mining plays within our community.
