Uncover the practical considerations for designing operations for new technologies. 

The mine technology workshop aims to equip students and young mining professionals with an understanding of important considerations, principles, practises and rules of thumb related to underground mine automation and electrification.

The workshop cover principles of:
-    Design requirements for automation in comparison to conventional mining
-    Infrastructure requirements for automation
-    Design requirements for electrification vs diesel operations
-    Mine planning consideration for electrification
-    Risk Management using mine technology

This will be an interactive workshop and will cover practical applications of key concepts and feature case studies and examples from underground operations.

Claudia is an experienced Principal Mining Consultant who has worked in both underground and open cut operations gaining exposure to all stages of the mining cycle from order of magnitude and feasibility planning through to project execution, operations and mine closure planning. Claudia specialises in block caving and sublevel caving operations.
