Farell C. Simanjuntak is a mining professional with more than 20 years of international experience spanning underground mining operations, mine engineering, planning, and equipment applications across Australia, Indonesia, Canada, and the United States. He is currently Sales and Applications Manager – Underground Drills at Sandvik Mining, where he provides strategic leadership in equipment applications, technical sales support, tender development, and customer-focused drilling solutions.

Farell holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana and a First Class Mine Manager Ticket (Western Australia). His career has included senior technical and operational roles with leading mining organisations, including Sandvik Mining, CMOC Northparkes, Silver Lake Resources, Newcrest Mining, Norilsk Nickel, and PT Freeport Indonesia. His background combines operational leadership with deep expertise in underground mining methods, mine planning, production support, and the practical application of technology to improve performance and outcomes in underground operations.
