Keith Whitehouse is a geoscientist and mining executive with more than four decades of international experience in mineral exploration, resource estimation, geological data systems, and mining software development. He is widely recognised for his pragmatic approach, strategic insight, and technical leadership across projects spanning Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

A Chartered Professional Geologist and long-standing AusIMM member, Keith joined the organisation in 1987. He served on the Central Victoria Branch committee from 2005 to 2021, including six years as Chair (2007–2013), and has also contributed as a Director and Victorian State Council representative.

Keith has provided consulting expertise in geological modelling, data management, and project execution for clients such as White Energy Company, Leviathan Gold, OZ Minerals, Ivanhoe Mines, Amarillo Gold, and Forward Mining. His work has encompassed feasibility studies, JORC and NI 43-101 reporting, and the management of multi-million-dollar exploration budgets.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of White Energy Company Ltd. In 2007, he was appointed inaugural Managing Director of Iron Mountain Mining Ltd, leading the company through its early years following ASX listing. Earlier in his career, Keith played a pivotal role in the global expansion of Micromine Group, helping grow the business from a two-person startup into a leading international mining software provider.

Keith has completed the AICD Directors Course and brings strategic vision, technical depth, and commercial acumen to the Board in order to advance AusIMM’s core purpose—elevating professional excellence across the resources sector while fostering a responsible, innovative, and inclusive industry.
