The Tenement Management Society recognises the very important and valuable work that is undertaken by, resource companies and consulting tenement managers, various government officers and staff, geologists, geoscientists, lawyers, and all those who help to create, manage and administer the wide variety of mineral rights and titles used around Australia and New Zealand.

The Society's interest areas cover all aspects of tenement management, including:

• Land availability assessments.
• Managing/monitoring the associated native title processes to obtain grant.
• Managing/monitoring the associated environmental processes to allow work.
• Managing competitive processes and commercial acquisitions.
• Tenement retention strategies including tenement progression to higher forms of tenure.
