November Tech Talk - Water Treatment Solutions – Veolia Water Technologies

Richard Ashley has been with Veolia Water Technologies for 6 years and is currently the Operations Manager for WA, SA and NT. His experience in the water treatment industry is extensive; over 19 years in total, including 14 years in the supply of specialty chemicals. During the latter tenure, he gained extensive knowledge in water treatment relating to cooling towers, steam boilers, closed-heating and chilled systems, and in microbiological control (Legionella). Never one to stand still, Richard is a hands-on professional who is now focusing on the mechanical aspects of water treatment, specialising in technologies such as membranes, media filtration and CEDI.

Nadia Benavides is a Veolia Water Technologies Business Development Engineer with an educational background in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. Starting her career, she worked in the specialty chemicals business and subsequently joined the exciting world of mining. She has experience working as a metallurgist in gold and copper processing plants, having worked in the Goldfields and the Pilbara region over the last decade. With a strong passion for water treatment and its preservation, Nadia is excited to bring her mineral processing experience to the team and help extend Veolia’s services to the mining industry.

Harvinder Makhan has been with the Veolia business for more than ten years, holding integral roles in the energy industry and now brings across his expertise and knowledge to the water industry. Harvinder has a profound understanding of customer needs, developed over time through the delivery of operations in the HVAC/Water Treatment business. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics and Computer Engineering. He is currently the Business Development Manager for Hydrex™, supplying water treatment chemicals.
