Narrow Vein 2022 Symposium
Targeting technical excellence in narrow vein deposits, the Symposium will discuss case studies showcasing advancements and innovations in the field of mining and finding these challenging orebodies.
The Symposium will address the following themes:
- the geological, engineering and metallurgical challenges.
- innovation and technological advancement in narrow vein mining.
- a showcase of excellence in narrow vein projects and operations.
The event will be held at Federation University, Ballarat and will feature many of Victoria's prominent industry leaders.
Speaking opportunities
The organising committee is calling for speakers who can address the themes of the symposium. By speaking at the event, speakers/companies will strengthen their brand for sharing innovation and technical excellence with industry. Presentations will be required to be 20mins in length and have a brief abstract available.

President’s Dinner
Held in conjunction with the Symposium is the Central Victoria Branch’s major networking evening, the President’s Dinner. Held in the historic gold rush city of Ballarat, this three-course dinner will be a great opportunity to mingle with people from across the minerals industry. With distinguished guest AusIMM President Dave Clark and a guest speaker (TBC), this evening promises to be a great night to round off the symposium.
