Join the Far North Queensland Branch and WISER (Women In Sustainable Energy & Resources) for a workshop for women on Speaking with clarity, confidence and conviction.
About this event
WISER (Women In Sustainable Energy & Resources) is an inclusive industry network of women in sustainable energy, resources, and related industries in Australia. The ultimate goal for the network is to drive women’s visibility and leadership in these industries to shape their future for the better and create lasting improvements in our industries.
This interactive professional development workshop will be held at the Crystalbrook Riley preceding the AusIMM Resourceful FNQ Annual Forum and is designed to help participants master the art of professional communication.
In this workshop you will learn how to present yourself confidently in any professional setting. This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of effective communication—from mastering posture and body language to choosing the right tone and delivery style for your message.
You'll gain practical experience in refining your speaking skills, with an emphasis on turning nerves into confidence through guided practice. By the end of the course, you’ll feel empowered to deliver presentations that are clear, polished, and persuasive.
Following the workshop, guests are invited to attend a Sundowner event featuring drinks and canapés, supported by WISER Partner Association AMEC.
Speaker/s
Nadia Bourboulas
Having been the House Captain at primary school and the School Captain and Student of the Year at high school, from a young age, she was fortunate enough to be exposed to what leadership felt like.
Following her schooling, she went on to pursue her tertiary education at Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University where she completed her undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in Professional Communication.
Having contributed her skills and experience to the public and private sectors where she worked in Media and Communications roles for the Queensland State Government, law firms, architectural practices and tertiary education institutions, Nadia decided to design, develop and deliver personal leadership and professional communication training to children, teenagers and adults.
Just as her private teachers, mentors and coaches taught her the value of personal leadership and professional communication, she now sees it her duty to pay it forward to those who wish to learn.
