2022 AGM and presentation on the University of Wollongong Large Diameter Core Display
1
Join our August Tech Talk to discuss the story behind and geological history of the UoW Large Diameter Core Display.
About this event
A large diameter core donation of strata, taken from above and below the Wongawilli Seam, presents a remarkable picture and inspired a core display of unique proportions. The Hawkesbury Sandstone is a massive deposit that spans a significant proportion of the Sydney Basin, its history is fascinating. The end result is an extraordinary display and a great teaching aid. Listen as Penny Williamson, Dr Brian Jones and Rod Doyle relate the story.
