Speaker/s

Greg Swain

Senior Exploration Geologist
Greg has over 15 years of exploration experience primarily searching for IOCG mineralisation within the eastern Gawler Craton. After completing undergraduate Geology Degree at the University of Adelaide, Greg continued with post-graduate studies, publishing several papers focused on the tectonic evolution of the Gawler Craton and events that led to the development of the Hiltaba Suite Granite and Gawler Range Volcanic event, coeval with IOCG mineral systems. As Senior Exploration Geologist for Monax Mining Ltd, Greg led the discovery of the Punt Hill Copper Project, attracting investment from major South American copper miner Antofagasta Minerals. Since leaving Monax, Greg has been involved with ongoing prospectivity evaluation within the Gawler Craton for several companies including EMSA (a subsidiary of Chilean copper miner Codelco) and BHP. Greg is currently working with Fortescue, leading their exploration activities in search for IOCG style mineral systems within the Gawler Craton and Curnamona Province.
