Maximise net metal production - Discover the art of using Scientific AI to balance throughput and recovery
Join the Kalgoorlie Branch for their June tech talk: 'Maximise net metal production – Discover the art of using Scientific AI to balance throughput and recovery'.
About this event
The Kalgoorlie Branch tech talk will focus on the use of Scientific AI to increase process efficiency, protect margins, and better manage sustainability targets such as water and energy consumption in isolated and challenging mining environments.
Scientific AI is a breakthrough development in AI technology pioneered by IntelliSense.io that fuses together mechanistic (first principle or physics) models with machine learning techniques, providing trusted predictive intelligence to operational decision-makers in real time.
We will share (and provide a live demonstration) exactly how we are helping our mining customers use Scientific AI to maximise their net metal production - in particular:
- Simulating optimal grinding throughput based on material characteristics.
- Maximising metal recoveries and minimising penalty elements in the flotation circuit based on that optimal throughput.
- Reconciling water, energy and carbon consumption back into planning through high-resolution digital Stockpile modeling to achieve the desired throughput and recoveries.
*Scientific AI is the fusion of mechanistic (first principle/physics) models with Machine Learning techniques that provides real-time predictive intelligence to operational decision-makers.
Speaker/s
Mark DeGeus
Now spanning a product portfolio of six real-time process optimization applications all powered by a Scientific AI platform and deployed in the cloud, his responsibilities include collaborating with customers to create and drive the IntelliSense.io product roadmap.
Originally from Ireland and now resident in London, Mark originally started as an operational Metallurgist with Glencore in Africa and has extensive experience deploying industrial AI technology to isolated sites including the DRC, Kazakhstan, and LATAM.
Mark is a chartered engineer and has a Master's degree in Minerals Processing from Camborne School of Mining. He is an active member of the IOM3.
