Webinar: An overview of the Indonesian nickel industry
1
Join the Metallurgical Society for their webinar: An overview of the Indonesian nickel industry.
About this event
Indonesia is the worlds largest producer of nickel, with the commodity extracted from laterite deposits.
Over recent years, the industry has changed dramatically, with the number of metallurgical facilities increasing rapidly. Both FerroNickel, predominantly used in stainless steels, and nickel products are being produced.
With the increasing demand for nickel with the global energy transition, it is expected that the industry will grow in coming years.
This presentation will review the Indonesian nickel industry, including the deposits, mining, smelting, HPAL and related policies.
