This webinar will provide an overview of the major options for processing Australian Iron Ores using Green Ironmaking technology. In particular, we will look into the impact of gangue content on the techno-economic viability of the different options.

Current research on Professor Brooks’ team on novel pellet making, Hydrogen DRI production, and electric smelting of DRI will also be discussed.

His areas of expertise include Steelmaking fundamentals, Smelting of Aluminium and Magnesium, Modelling of High Temperature Processing, Development of Sensors, E-waste treatment, Processing of Lunar Materials and the application of Solar Energy for Materials Processing.
